Publisher Description
A stand alone brother's best friend romance about Ash Talmadge & Amelia Ballentine by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…
Ash Talmadge is everything I shouldn’t want.
My brother’s best friend. A too charismatic, too attractive Southern gentleman. And obsessed with someone else.
But she’s finally out of the picture. I put two years between their break up just to be sure. This is finally my chance.
His focus is all on me. Exactly where I wanted it to be since high school when he saved me from humiliation. And after college when he finally realized I was more than just his best friend’s little sister.
There’s only one person who could ruin this for me.
I’ve waited this long.
I’m willing to wait for always.

Brother’s best friend
Amelia or Mia as she goes by friends has a drive in the fashion industry. She wants to open her own boutiques and be famous. She also wants James, aka Ash since she was little. Her brother’s best friend. Ash however cannot get over his love for another girl. What a triangle. This was told in present and past tense throughout the book. There was a lot of heartache on Mia’s life throughout as she’s loved Ash and has known it wouldn’t go anywhere. At times you wanted to tell her, well you did say that was going to be the last time and it clearly wasn’t….. but this was a great story. It was a fast paced read that kept me entertained throughout. Great addition to the series.
I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is Amelia and Ash's story. She has loved him her entire life. Ash has been obsessed with a woman named Lila for most of his. When things fall apart for him and Lila and she chooses someone else. Amelia is there for him as a friend at first that grows into a second chance for them and takes them on a road to love.
This book is told in several parts, and I love that writing style of the authors. It lets me read the book over a period of time. With a story that is filled with twists and turns and lots of angst, it is a great way to read this story.
The story does skip around a bit over the years which for me was a little confusing. I would have rather it been in chronological order, but I understand why the author did it this way, to show us the important scenes that happened over the years.
I have read all the books in this series and loved each book. This story was not a simple falling in love story but rather years of pain and love and angst but also of a love that I have been waiting to read since I first met Ash and Amelia. I am not sure I would have stuck around like Amelia did, but I love courageous she was not just in love but also professionally. She was really my hero in this story, and I loved that Ash saw that in her as well and fell hard for her.
Ash😍
The Coastal Chronicles has been a favorite since I read Hold the Forevers. Linde has fantastic way of making you fall in love with every character she introduces you to. She writes these complex characters that you can’t help but want to be friends with or fall in love with. And I love how she seems to effortlessly weave these interconnected stand-alone stories that help expand the universe that the books take place in.
I fell in love with Ash Talmadge from the first page. I couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out for him! A couple times I was so mad at him and just wanted to shake him for the decisions he made!
Amelia has to be one of my favorite heroines! One of my favorite lines in this book was from her. “No. You do not need to do that. You’re not my white knight. The princess saved herself in this one.” I loved that she saved herself in this situation. It’s so often that authors write these strong alpha males who come running in to save the females.
I can’t wait to see what’s next! I’m hoping there will be a Marina book! I’m so interested in what happened with her and Nolan.
