Rancher Tate McGrath is still reeling from the events surrounding his brother Drake's whirlwind romance in Tough Talking Cowboy, and his preoccupation has created a rift in his friendship with Liz Scott. Liz has harbored feelings for Tate since they were kids and is tired of being taken for granted. As Tate works to mend their relationship, he realizes that he returns her feelings. But Liz and Tate's budding romance is repeatedly threatened by Liz's abusive ex-boyfriend, Clint Mayhew, who refuses to accept that Liz broke up with him and grows increasingly unhinged and violent as he tries to force his way back into her life. Clint's over-the-top, often sickening behavior and the fear he causes in Liz and Tate eclipse the relatively bland romance, and the dull characters do little to bolster the unbalanced plot. Only Ryan's die-hard fans should bother with this one.

Waiting On a Cowboy
A true fairy tale romance. Liz knew from the start how she felt about Tate and she went after him. But being a thick headed cowboy he was a a little slow in getting the message. Life has a way of throwing us a curve ball sometimes to get us to where we need to be, but true love always prevails. Their story was absolutely wonderful.

Another great book from Jennifer Ryan. Can’t wait for the next one!

Waiting on a Cowboy is book 1 in the McGrath series by Jennifer Ryan is well written, emotional read.
Tate and Liz have been best friends since they were 5 years old and as they grew up Liz’s feelings turned into love but Tate never saw it..as he never crossed the line from friendship. Finally Liz has had enough and distances herself, starts dating and it took Tate 6 weeks to realize she wasn’t around...he doesn’t understand why...until he has a heart to heart talk with his brother and realizes that maybe Liz is what he has been searching for but is it to late? Liz is dating someone else but unbeknownst to them both he may not be on the up and up...
What happens next will keep you turning the pages, suspenseful, romantic and hoping Tate and Liz find what has always been there...
