So good! The storyline was really different and I couldn’t always determine the result. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series! Really good!

Underdeveloped characters
It was slow to start. I kept thinking it was going to get better but it didn’t. The breadcrumbs that led up to the big reveal of Olivia’s secret were confusing. I know they head to be a little vague but most of the time I was like what the heck is she even talking about. Then when the dramatic reveal of Olivia’s secret finally happened I was disappointed. (Not going to spoil the actual secret) Sure it’s a big deal but it wasn’t developed very properly and she just kind of blurted it out. I felt very disconnected from the characters.
And not for nothing but the conversations between the characters seems forced and unnatural. Many times I reread a section like “who talks like this?”
I really wanted to like it but after about 100 pages I gave up.
