Publisher Description
Two best friends. One wild night. Zero takebacks.
Hyper-competent Lily Xin juggles her school, her family, and her magic like a pro, selflessly giving her time and energy to others, just like a good witch should. When her bestie Lex gets into trouble, she rushes to save him. It works, until a wild night leads them hurtling straight toward One-Night-Standsville. Lily knows dating Lex would be a huge mistake. So why can’t she stop thinking about him naked?
Easy-going Lex Salem has always thought of Lily as the twin sister he never had, but one night of magically-charged passion makes him realize everything is different now. But he can’t stop time to figure out why Lily is so resistant. He’s too busy being stalked by an evil vampire with a grudge against his family.
Despite their “it’s complicated” relationship status, Lily and Lex team up to defeat the demonic forces trying to use Lex to fulfill an ancient prophecy. It will take all their smarts, magical talents, and bad puns to save the day. Oh, and they have to stop kissing each other. Like, seriously, the apocalypse is coming.
The third novel in The Brothers Salem, a contemporary paranormal romance series where a trio of demon hunters—armed with spells and snark—are on a mission to slay some demons, break some curses, and get their girls. Unless the girls get them first.

Magic
Lily Xin is an awesome witch. Lex Salem is the youngest of three brothers whose family has hunted and fought vampires (and other creepy nasties) for generations. He is the only brother who seems not to have a special magical talent (as yet). Lex and Lily have always been best friends, just friends. Due to an unfortunate encounter with a succubus, things are about to change.
Wake Me Up is a dangerous, unpredictable, weirdly exciting adventure and romance. A real page-turner, it starts fast and keeps moving. Morningside the vampire is back, and he has brought a friend. Lex, in particular, is in danger from the vampires. The Salem brothers, Vinny, Cara, and the cats are all here. There are a couple of new characters and a new cat. They are all working toward a familiar goal – save a brother; kill the vampires. Lex and Lily are great characters. As this story unfolds, they learn a lot about themselves and each other. There are some interesting surprises (wait until you see what Lily can do). Great story, great series.
I received an ARC of this book from the author. My review is voluntary.
