Waking The Dead

Staci Fairchild doesn't believe in ghosts. That changes when she inherits her grandmother's property outside of Corinth, Mississippi, and moves to escape her abusive FBI agent ex-husband, Jake Lyles. Her world is upended the night she investigates cannon fire on the grounds and sees a ghostly Civil War battle before her eyes. Night after night, the gruesome scene plays out its horror. Then, Union Colonel Stephen Austin steps out of the battle to pay her a visit, and any thoughts of a quiet, normal life vanish.

Luke Lamont, Sheriff of Corinth, believes in science, data, and facts, and then he meets Staci Fairchild, a lovely new teacher in town with an air of mystery. Their mutual attraction blossoms, but his worldview is challenged by the revelation that Staci has a handsome ghost in residence, one who has a surprising connection to them both. 

Danger threatens when Jake Lyles tracks Staci to Corinth, determined to reclaim her as his wife. Can Stephen and Luke work together to save the woman they both love and resolve a 150-year-old conflict that reaches across time to destroy them all?
