One of the best examples of the genre
I’ve read many books in the romance genre in the past 5 or so years, and this is one of my favorites. Ms. Heath has written a compelling story with a lovely cast of characters. I think what distinguishes this book from others in the genre is how it displays the complexity and messiness of life while also being believable. I read it in short sprints, and it occupied my thoughts in between.
The author drops the ball at the end
The author drops the ball at the end..I thought the premise was going to be a problem for me, but as I read the story the reader begins to believe there is a reason why the husband wants her to do what she does. And well, not going to spoil it but she really married a manipulative SOB. The problem for me was the way it all is wrapped up. It seems this particular author struggles with tying up a story. I recently began reading her stories and it seems to be a pattern for her.
