The vacation of a lifetime was almost perfect… until an earthquake shattered her world.
Chaperoning three teenagers, Julie needed a rescuer. Good thing one of the girl's father was a Senator who called Lighthouse Security.
James Walker was known for quick analysis of missions gone awry. Stranded in Mexico with the beautiful Julie after his fellow Keeper is able to get the teens home safely was not in his plans.
On the run, they discover love among the ruins in the tropical paradise but when danger follows her back to the States, can he keep her safe once again? And, will they have a chance at a happily ever after?
Lighthouse Security Investigations
The security and investigation company is filled with handpicked men and women from the SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, Deltas, and Air Force Special Ops. All trained in CIA Special Operations, the Keepers were the best of the best and ready to take on any mission.
I’m loving these Lighthouse Keepers stories. Julie and Walker’s story in Mexico was riveting I could visualize the Mayan ruins , the effects of the earthquake and the bathroom scene at the airport looking forward to the next book.
Walker and Julie
When the history teacher is suddenly unable to accompany three teenagers to the Mayan ruins, Julie is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. The Senator asks Julie to escort his daughter and her two friends on an all expense paid trip. As the school counselor, Julie is very familiar with the girls and gladly accepts. While touring the Mayan Ruins, a earthquake strikes. Chaos, looting, and cartel movement occurs as a result. It is up to Julie to keep the girls safe until help arrives.
Walker, a former SEAL and CIA Special Ops guy, is now working for Lighthouse Security. Walker is assigned to retrieve Julie and the girls from Mexico. But things don’t go as planned. The helicopter isn’t big enough to carry everyone to safety, the cartels are threatening, and the Senator’s daughter falls ill. Julie and Walker stay behind, while the girls are flown to safety. Then they are to meet back up to catch the next helicopter flight, but things don’t go as planned-AGAIN. And danger follows them home...
Loved, loved, loved this novel! It’s the third novel in the Lighthouse Security series. While it can be read as a stand-alone, characters from the first two novels play integral roles in this story. It is by far, the best story in the series-so far. It’s action-packed, educational, and entertaining. Not to mention, the Alpha male hotness🔥. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Needs more excitement!
This is book 3 in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series and it stars Walker and Julie. He went to rescue a few women in Mexico. He didn’t count on falling for one of them. Walker and Julie had almost instant chemistry. The top of the pyramid was like a scene out of a dream. Their time in Mexico was almost like a honeymoon.
Even though this was a good story and I loved the characters, it was VERY predictable. The story line was missing excitement. Everything happened without too much interference. I look forward to the next book hoping the author ramps up the excitement factor a little more.
