The second volume of the Sunshine Mystery Magic club continues the adventure of Sarah, Katy, Jonnie, and Nenet. The young ladies helped to save the day but in the process annoyed a dragon, and accidentally destroyed all the magic runes on which a village depends. So they're off to help rebuild what was broken. Along the way, they discover that staying friends is hard, especially when there is a new member in the club. But they need to work together because reality has been stirred and things are bubbling up to the surface, things that have their own agenda. Worse, enemies have noted that the Lady of the Lake has become vastly more mobile–but, is she also more vulnerable? Her human allies might be the key to overcoming her defenses, to gain vast magical resources and wealth which her storeroom is believed to hold. Can Sarah, Johnie, Katy, and now Nenet bond and stand as one against avaricious opportunists, human and otherwise?

This book follows the characters you met in Wandmaking 101 and is narrated from the points of view of the children, teens, and adults in the book, across two days as they seek to return home while restoring order in the wake of the events of the first book.
