War Diary of Signalman Binks A (1943‪)‬

This is a transcription of the 1943 diary for Signalman Alf Binks. This 1943 diary tells of his training in North Wales and of making his way to India. Before finding the diaries the only thing I had known about “Uncle Alf’s War” was that he had served in Burma during WW2. Reading his diaries put a whole new light on his war service. These were not the diaries of a great hero just the day to day writings of a man making the best of a bad situation.
