War Dog's Leash

Growing up in a New America colony around Sigma Draconis, Bartholomew Davis had learned society was oppressive, but that's just the way life is. While serving his mandatory military service he's nearly killed by local alien life forms, and given an option to sign up to have his mind digitized for a highly classified project in exchange for the military covering his medical expenses.

19-N is one of the colony's newest genetically engineered super soldiers, nicknamed 'war dogs' for their ingrained obedience. But she's just found out she won't be getting to fight on the front lines, but will instead be a guard dog for one of the colony's elite for the propaganda boost. Worse, she'll have to have a weak human sitting in a neural implant to watch her ever move.

Now that they're together Bartholomew and N have a lot to learn about themselves, each other, and how they can change the system they've grown up in.
