What a finale
Could not stop flipping through, page by page. What an amazing end to a series. Destiny is all!!
Five stars
Typical Cornwall. Awesome storytelling blending historical fact with fiction. The reader becomes a character, a fly on the wall. No matter the genres, the syntax and plot ease the reader’s sense of immersion in the story.
Couldn’t put the book down
This book seems to be a fitting end to the series (if it is) as once again Uhtred, Son of Uhtred pulls victory from seeming defeat for his king.
The book is very well written and deeply engaging as are all in the series. Once I turned the first page I knew that once again I would not be able to put it down for anything other than the most pressing responsibilities. Read the book. Better yet read the entire series. My only regret is that the story of Uhtred may have come to an end and I will miss Uhtred, Finan, and everyone else I have come to enjoy knowing.
