Warming to You – Falling for Me

How do you explain how scientists think to someone who has never thought about science? In this graphic dialog, Bruce and Jane explore how scientists ‘understand’ and ‘explain’ what they know. Jane has her own world-view- that of literature and the arts, but she’s keen to learn about Bruce’s world. As Bruce patiently works though the eight cognitive steps from the concrete to the abstract (and back again!), Jane constantly re-frames his efforts as Shakespearean sonnets. The book can be read as a narrative, or used as a platform to explore the rich history of science, literature and art through 2,000 hyperlinks, 700 pop-down illustrations, 25 animations and several dozen links to narration of The Sonnets.
