Underwhelming and that’s ok
I’ve enjoyed all of the books in the series but honestly, this book was just not it. The storyline was ok at best. I wasn’t wowed, there weren’t any twists that made you feel like you had to keep reading to find out who the killer was. Much like the real world - there was no resolution as to why one of the killers did what he did… the death of one of the characters really did tug at my heart though, and that was the most emotion I felt for the entire book. Nevertheless, I will continue reading these books because DI Clare Mackay is one of my favorite book characters.
