We are all Storytellers‪!‬

In 1962, I ran a program on an early IBM computer by driving 40 miles to MIT in Cambridge and giving its operator a deck of punched cards. That is a factual, 55-year-old story. Since then, the world’s population has doubled to more than 7 billion people and that’s also a fact. Now our knowledge is doubling every 13 months and such stories show us just how powerful we’re becoming. We are now being driven to modify our world and our species but will the computer in my pocket make that a reality? I believe that these are the choices that my granddaughter will be asked to make and I want to help her to prepare for such a world!


But we were born storytellers and that human ability, to learn and to share, makes many possibilities a reality so what will we choose for our future? What will our options be? The Fingertips Series is being written to help us to recognize and understand the power of information. The iPhone/Internet Era has put our options and our answers within the reach of everyone. ‘We are all Storytellers!’, the fifth ebook in the series, summarizes where we are today and calls for help from the technical industries and the educational communities to elevate the search for a 21st century path to eliminate any negative issues, such as social media, technical addiction, personal privacy, security and cyber terrorism.
