From the creators of the Instagram account @lgbt_history, this illustrated history of the Queer Liberation Movement includes hundreds of photographs and archival materials collected from numerous sources. The authors trace the origins of the movement to 19th-century Europe, detailing its evolution through historical records and firsthand accounts. Taking an intersectional approach, Riemer and Brown provide perspectives from communities traditionally underrepresented in queer history including people of color, disabled people, bisexuals, and transgender individuals.
