On August 23, 2009, my only child, my son, died by suicide. Since then I’ve attended meetings for Survivors of Suicide (those left behind when a loved one dies by suicide), talked to others who have lost a love one, participated in a local LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors), and decided it was time someone told the story of suicide from the survivors point of view, in hopes that anyone contemplating suicide will take time to read this short book. This is the story of the aftermath caused by this tragic event and how the lives of those who knew and loved Robby will be forever changed.

My thoughts
This book came across as slightly aggressive with the tone of the writing because of the facts presented, however, I don't think thats a bad thing. One thing I didn't particularly like about this book is its inclusion of pictures of suicide, to someone who's very sensitive to seeing that it could be harmful or thought-provoking. Anyway, as someone who doesn't really read many books this one kept me reading and interested the whole time through. It grounds the reader in reality which is very much needed sometimes. Thank you for this.

Written from the perspective of a father who lost his son to suicide, this book captures the thoughts and feelings of survivors of suicide who have had to deal with the aftermath of suicide.
