This book is filled with poems by a first-time author which take readers on an emotional roller coaster ride. Y. B. Taylor shares personal experiences as well as her interpretations of the black experience in a not always accepting world. Her poetry is written in a way that readers, regardless of race and gender, are able to feel the raw emotion.
