Encouraging and a helpful reference
A parent could find this book to be extremely helpful before sduring and after their child's diagnosis. Dr. Pavuluri's positive approach to challenging behaviors is refreshing and empowering. She is a real person who encourages the use of a realistic strategy. I have read this book twice since meeting Dr. Pavuluri. She is genuinely committed to the well-being of bipolar children, their parents, and their families. The section on medication is an awesome reference for parents. That part alone is worth getting the book for. If you are parenting or caring for a child with a mood disorder, this book should definitely be in your library.
