Publisher Description
As renal health care professionals, we are often the health care providers whom our patients see most frequently. As a result, we are confronted with questions regarding health news in the media regardless of whether it is an issue related to chronic kidney disease (CKD) or primary care. Sometimes these questions can be difficult to answer, as the media's slant may be sensationalized and not a true representation of the complexity of evidence behind the story. This article is the beginning of a series entitled "What's the buzz" that will highlight recent "newsworthy" developments and attempt to demystify the content and context of the story.
