Alexandra Quinn has spent her life uncovering and studying ancient relics. But when her own past resurfaces, she isn’t prepared. The man who shattered her young heart is the last person she’d expect to rescue her from an intruder just in the nick of time.
To solve a string of murders from Cairo to London, she’ll have to work with the rakish Benedict Weston, Viscount Marlsbrook. Alex knows better than to trust Benedict, but it’s impossible to forget his kiss and the wicked promise it holds.
Benedict never wanted to be a hero. Actually, he’s plundered antiquities for years – it seems the only way to restore his family’s debt-ridden estate to glory. But now, a ruthless killer has targeted Alex, the only woman he’s ever loved – the woman he craves with a soul-deep hunger. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect her… even from himself.

I voluntarily read a copy of this book through Netgalley. The book involved the murder of several individuals that were made to appear as if they were natural or suicidal in cause. The book involved the search for hidden Egyptian tombs that contained artifacts that were extremely valuable. Two people who once were in love seen to be in great danger from an unknown individual or individuals. Alexandra and Benedict had once been lovers but because of his greed had parted ways and remained apart for several years. They come back together when a mentor of their was killed and their lived endangered. It is a good read and has a HEA.
