LOVE conquers All
First, I’ll start with I loved Ashe. What a beautiful and loving man. To go thru life with such heartbreak would bitter a man and in this story it didn’t. Pearl, was a beauty inside and out and lived with such hurt and heartbreak from the person you was suppose to treasure you the most was easy to see that she was already a survivor. This story starts with such promise of finding the love that was so sweet and gentle. Love the falling in love Ashe and Pearl journeyed thru. But, this book is titled “When Darkness Ends” so I was waiting for the evil to happen and it happened. It was evil, it was hard for me to read at times. It was gutting. How can anyone survive this evilness. Well, in the end Marni, wrote a story of LOVE conquers all. This is book three in this series. They can be read as standalones. This one though, had Characters from book 1 in it so that was a beautiful surprise. Marni is a amazing writer. She wrote with detail the amazing acts of falling in love and the details of the ugliest of pure evil. In the end I wished we had gotten more of Ashe and Pearl. They deserved it all. This is my 4 star review.
Just read this book
I’m so glad I went into this story blind because I had no preconceived ideas where the story would lead. This story is sooooo much more than a beautiful romance. There are many relationships all woven together so skillfully and I’m very impressed by the talented writing of Ms. Mann. All in all, this is one of my favorite books of 2021.
So many emotions
Gaahhh I waited months for this book and then I read it in a day. Holy emotions. Having to relive Dylan’s death was really hard. But Marni does not disappoint. This is a rollercoaster of every emotion imaginable. I can assure you that you won’t want to put this down until you’ve finished it. My only regret is that I read it so quickly after waiting so long!
