When It Rains

Sam reached into her bag to pull out the manga from the series she had just started. However, she put it back in her bag after seeing a side glance from her father that very clearly stated, "Talk with people. You don't get to see them very often." Sighing for the second time in less than five minutes, she zipped her bag back up, and walked over to join the audience watching corn hole out in the yard.

Join Samantha, a teen stuck in her head, as she tries to navigate everything life's thrown at her. Dealing with expectations from others and herself, along with a few mental melt downs along the way. Each chapter is a separate look into her life, highlighting different struggles. All experiences are based on real life experiences of the author.

"Life is just a competition, where nobody wins in the end, but others don't want you to drop out. I'm tired of this competition and want to disappear, but I don't want people to worry or cry about me. So, I don't disappear. I continue this awful competition until I'm battered and bruised.
