When Kings Bow

Two powerful rulers. Three troubled kingdoms.

Who pays the price of a king's pride?

Famine grips Akérédolú, and its king turns his warriors against neighboring Òjúkùtùode. Desperate for protection, the threatened kingdom seeks help from prosperous Ìlúmojù-only to discover that safety carries a heavy price.

Caught between conquest and costly protection, ordinary people struggle to survive. Then a Christian preacher confronts the rulers with a message neither wishes to hear: even a king must answer to a higher authority.

But what happens when accepting the truth could cost a ruler his pride, his wealth, and the obedience he has always commanded?

Rich with Yorùbá royal culture, music, and praise poetry, When Kings Bow reaches beyond the palace to challenge power wherever it is held-in governments, communities, institutions, and homes.

When power becomes oppression, will those who rule have the courage to bow?
