Inappropriate assertion
Contrary to the author's claim, there were a number of noted authorities who warned of imminent terrorist attacks on the US prior to 9/11 including Richard Clarke and Brian Jenkins, who in the 1980s even raised the possibility that terrorists would crash a hijacked airliner into urban skyscrapers or urban buildings.
