Isn’t it enough Cleora Butterfield has agreed to be her enormously pregnant BFF’s back-up birth coach? Does she really have to repeat last year’s disastrous New Year’s Eve blind date with Ross Hollister—one of said friend’s favorite people—even if the man is smokin’ hot? She has enough on her Christmas platter with planning and delivering the annual holiday pageant for her 5th and 6th graders.

Ross returns to the charming small town of Green Earth, Minnesota to get away from the rat race in New York City, where he babysits his celebrity clients. He longs for the peace and quiet the Christmas season can deliver here. So being Cleora Butterfield’s plus one isn’t in his plans—even if the woman is exquisitely tempting.

If Melah, a celestial messenger, doesn’t step in, Ross’s long-held secrets and Cleo’s badly broken heart might get in the way of any hope for a Christmas romance.

When the Heart Finds Christmas

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is a new author to me. I truly enjoyed this book. The characters were wonderful (especially Sadie the little girl) and the plot was one that captivated me.

I loved having this book written in my favorite dual POV format. Getting to understand both Cleo and Ross's thoughts really helped to thoroughly understand where the characters were coming from at certain aspects in the story.

This is a sweet, clean holiday romance. I highly recommend this story to anyone.

Another winner from this author

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and it was an enjoyable read too. In the first book, Tristan and Jillian talk about setting Cleo up with Ross, Tristan’s former agent. We learn that it was a Disaster with a capital D, except for the kiss at midnight, lol. Ross returns to Green Earth and one of the first people he sees is Cleo, lol. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say you’ll love this story, if you enjoy small town books with great friends and family in them. We also get to read about Melah visiting Cleo in this book.

Good Read Anytime of the Year

Christmas may be over, but this is an anytime of the year book. Its heartwarming, frustrating, quirky and even tender throughout.

🤦🏻‍♀️Cleo’s fears led to extreme stubbornness. And, if she’s not careful, it will cost her that happy ever after she’s always wanted.

🙋🏻‍♂️Ross is a real gentleman. He, like Cleo, lost at love. However, unlike Cleo, he’s willing to ‘pull himself up by the bootstraps’ when necessary and face his challenges head on.

🤯Zack is a loser, an all around loser. He keeps a chip on his shoulder and does whatever it takes to get his way. He doesn’t play nice.

😍Jillie and Tryston were great. It was good revising them and catching up with their lives. (I do wonder though whatever became of Brian from the first book? Did he go away and stay away or did he come back to find Jillie certainly didn’t wait around for him? Hmmm…)

😇Last but not least….. Melah is back. This time she’s here for Cleo and always shows up right at the perfect time. And, was that her standing with Derrick at the end? I’m thinking so. After all, Derrick wanted Cleo to be happy.
