Dylan Gallagher knows what he wants: to take New York by storm and steer clear of serious relationships. That's the plan. It's easy too, now that his software company is making headlines. Nothing is getting in the way of that—not even his gorgeous personal trainer. After the way his last relationship ended, Dylan's sworn off romance.
Mel keeps talking him into doing things, like watching the sunset and slowing down to enjoy life. Her smile is addictive, and so is her permanent sunny disposition.
When she trains him and he watches her body, he's constantly fantasizing about exploring every inch of it all night long, claiming her mouth every time she gives him a sassy reply.
Mel Dawson hasn't had an easy life. Between her Dad's sickness and her ex ghosting her after she loaned him money, she's faced a few challenges. But she loves looking on the bright side of life and she's determined to get Dylan to do the same.
Dylan is used to taking risks in the boardroom, but not in his personal life. How much is he willing to risk for a chance to make Mel his?
I was looking forward to Dylan’s story since I was introduced to his character and finally we get his HEA. This is the second book in the series and it was beautifully written with captivating plot. Mel is Dylan’s personal trainer. I loved the connection and how their relationship developed. You just go wrong with Layla’s book . They are feel good stories and leave you with a happy and giddy feeling. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for Ian’s book .
Beautiful must read
When You’re Mine is the story about Dylan Gallagher and Melanie (Mel) Dawson. If you enjoy books with family at the heart of the story, you will definitely love this book. Actually, all of Layla Hagen’s books that I’ve read have family and friends at the heart. Dylan first meets Mel at Genesis, where she’s a personal trainer, when he sees her almost faint. Mel likes to have options to offer her clients and she was trying out a new juice diet. Even though he doesn’t want a relationship, there’s just something about Mel that gets him. Mel had been in a three year relationship with Elliot and to say things ended badly is putting it mildly. I love the family dynamic between Dylan and his family and between Mel and her dad, Martin. I won’t leave any spoilers, so please grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with all of these wonderful characters.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Dylan got love! Finally
Dylan is a character I followed while reading Layla’s books. And I always wondered what happened with him. Finally got my wish and he got himself a book. (All of Layla’s books make you wish these characters are real, so to me they are, we go way back). What I love about this book is the way Mel brings him out of his self constructed shell he has put up because of a fail love, and I in turn he makes Mel believe that she can have it all without sacrificing her love and protectiveness she has for her dad. All of Layla’s books are centered around family and the importance of always having their backs. I really enjoy this and all of her books. Highly recommend for you reading this review to ready this and all of her books.
