Publisher Description

In 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., isolated himself from the demands of the civil rights movement, rented a house in Jamaica with no telephone, and labored over his final manuscript. In this prophetic work, which has been unavailable for more than ten years, he lays out his thoughts, plans, and dreams for America's future, including the need for better jobs, higher wages, decent housing, and quality education. With a universal message of hope that continues to resonate, King demanded an end to global suffering, asserting that humankind-for the first time-has the resources and technology to eradicate poverty.

Going to church

The first half of this book will give the reader a feeling similar to one of going to choich. Will have you shouting “preach!” These writings clearly declare Dr.King’s position on non-violence and the relationship with rioting or violent aggressive protesting. The same can be said about his stance regarding the Vietnam war. Excellent information about Dr. King’s position on all of our nation’s socialite problems regarding not just black citizens. Here Dr.King makes his strong case about the relationship of the nation’s poor residents and the plight of black citizens. This is a must read
