Where the Ashes Bloom

In 1995, a young girl is torn from her homeland by a devastating conflict. After surviving the immediate fallout, she is adopted into a quiet, safe life in Australia. The transition is so drastic, and the trauma so deep, that her mind completely blocks out the past—wiping away her native language, her heritage, and her real name.

Twenty-five years later, that carefully built safety begins to slip. Sudden, vivid flashbacks start interrupting her daily life. She is haunted by fragments of memories she thought were gone forever—glimpses of another family, a different life, and a world left in ruins.

Driven by a desperate need to know who she actually is, she makes the choice to fly back across the world. Returning to the places where her childhood was broken, the lines between her present reality and her past begin to blur.
