Regret . . . she's a snarky little bitch.

I’ve tried several times to regret the events that took place on June 5, 2008, but for the life of me, I can’t.  I'd never regret the pain, the suffering, or the heartache because they ultimately led me to the place I am now. And I can’t regret the place I am now.  What I still can't figure out is this: how is it possible that the single worst day of my life inadvertently became the very best day?

Five years ago my life was irrevocably changed.

Seventeen minutes was all it took—

to lose my best friend…

to lose the love of my life…

Seventeen minutes was all it took for the seeds of hope—the seeds of my future—to be planted in the worst possible way.

My name is Harley Thompson, and this is my story.

Rapist

The brother Dallas literally raped her! She was weak and let him get away with that!!!! There is no excuse to forcefully put your hands on a woman, drugs, intoxicated, sober or emotional! Then tyson has the nerve and audacity to ask if she’s sure it was Dallas and accuse her of sleeping with him!!! Like tyson asked for one chance coming back and got about 5 extra chances! If chances were dollars tyson would be rich and she would be poor from giving him all her money! This writer has some guts writing a conclusion like this! Tyson never told her why he wasn’t with brit, his ex that he left her for. There was so many unanswered questions and loose ends left after reading this super frustrating, incomplete, disgusting book! The girl kept playing the martyr, like she screwed up by telling tyson how she felt about him! How it was “her fault for not following him back inside” which resulted in her getting raped by his brother! You’d think after the years and support group, she’d be strong and realize nothing was her fault. So that is offensive to people who have been raped, because this is an unrealistic outcome. The author was clearly uneducated about the truth about rape victims and tried to write about a serious subject, which is atrocious and disgusting.

Hell to the no

I’m am so mad rn this was one of the worst books I’ve ever read I cannot stand to read anymore. The whole book was horrible but I tried pushing through to the end. The girl needs to grow a backbone. Ty was a complete jerk from start and end and all of her friends were convincing her that she’s wrong when she finnalt has respect for herself to break it off with her. He didn’t want to be with her because he didn’t want to give up sleeping with other women then he gets a serious girlfriend and she finally tells him how she feels he’s rude to bashed her and then she got raped which I felt like you were completely down playing it as not serious. Ty reapedtly checks out other girls and flirts with them and then when she tells him who rapes her he doesn’t believe her saying she’s like that she just had an like a thing then accused her of lying about the rape and thay she was drunk and mistook the scenario and she’s like okay I won’t go back with him and then her friends convince her she’s the idiot she’s in the wrong and thay she should get back together. I could go on and on about how this book was the worst book I’ve ever read I do not recommend it. Everyone has convinced her that it was wrong of her to not be happy that she was pregnant with the rapist convinced her that she should keep giving ty a chance after he kept messing up and convinced her she was a horrible girlfriend for being mad at him because he accused her of lying
