Publisher Description

Ted Geisel loved to doodle from the time he was a kid. He had an offbeat, fun-loving personality. He often threw dinner parties where guests wore outrageous hats! And he donned quirky hats when thinking up ideas for books- like his classic The Cat in the Hat. This biography, with black-and-white illustrations throughout, brings an amazingly gifted author/illustrator to life.

Amazing, even for adults!

I am a current graduate student and am doing a team author study on Dr.Seuss. One of my jobs is the biography part and despite this book being intended for kids, I found it to be a real boon to my research on the life of Dr.Seuss. Short and sweet, this book manages to just tell the essentials of Dr.Seuss's life. I definitely recommend it!
