I come back to this book again and again
I really love this book. The story is melancholy and dark, but also has very tender moments. I first read it many years ago and was completely immersed. I’ve changed a lot, but surprisingly I still enjoy the twists and turns of the story just as much, even after all this time. Definitely worth the reread. Also worth checking out are the short stories on the author’s website that feature Belimai and Harper. This is probably impossible but I hope there’s a sequel someday.
A Great Find
Great little murder mystery - think Sherlock Holmes but with demons. And much darker. A nice LGBT love story also.
Would love to see the characters return in a whole series!
Easy Reading
Overall, not a bad read but it felt disjointed in places with opportunities to expand on the characters to make them more realistic. The plot was a tried and true murder mystery with a little romance thrown in along the way.
