Wild Ride

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the wild ride of Ichabod Crane were the inspiration for this intermediate level piano piece. One can easily imagine the sound of hoof beats in the repeated left-hand chords of the accompaniment. The right-hand melody creates tension and excitement through repeated rhythm and melodic patterns using eighth and sixteenth notes. The key of A minor and the fast 4/4 tempo add to the energy and drama of the performance.
