Wild Strawberries & Vanilla

She had walked past the little shop several times, but never dared to enter. There was erotic underwear hanging in the window. Bottles of massage oil. Books about sex. She presumed that the toys she wanted would be in there, but she felt too shy to venture inside. “Tomorrow,” she thought, and hurriedly continued on with a mopey look, “I don’t have … time today.”

She had thought of buying a vibrator for quite some time. She felt alone and bored. A single woman. Single women had so much sex, she’d heard everywhere. They had temporary lovers and could always get lucky in a bar. To be single was sexual heaven. You were free to experiment with whomever you wanted, whenever you wanted. It was the married ones who were to be pitied.
