Sean left the Navy and built his security company MBK Global Security with Beck McKenzie and Peter Bryan. He is requested on a secret rescue mission in Afghanistan which he left to never return ten years ago. He still suffers from PTSD from his time being a SEAL.
Jess is an investigative journalist who is in Afghanistan writing an article on Isaac Narazi but also trying to locate her foster sister Pippa. Jess and Sean have known each other since they were ten years old and he rescued her from a bully in school.
I will definitely read the next book in the series King to see what happens with Beck and Pippa.
Loved
Sean and Jess have history and when she lands herself in harms way he will do anything to protector her. Loved the characters they have great chemistry throughout the pages. The storyline was well written.
