Wilder with You
Sensational, thrilling. and romantic!
Very enjoyable
This is the second book I’ve read by Serena Bell. It’s low angst and amusing but there are also real issues and emotions. I love Serena’s writing style. (I’m very picky. I’ve been known to bail on books a page or two in if the writing is cheesy or flowery or the dialogue is stilted.) She writes dialogue so well, it flows naturally. It’s not the kind of writing where someone asks a question and and four pages of interior monologue go by before the second character answers and I can’t even remember what the question was! This truly is a standalone—-characters from the first two books interact with the h and H but you don’t have to know their stories to follow along in this one. I have already pre-ordered the next book in the series, and I only do that with my favorite authors. Serena Bell’s definitely on that list now.

There are two reasons I didn’t love this story. But before I get to that I will say the story would have been great without the constant explicit sex, or the use of the F word. The writer seemed to feel the need to be inclusive with having a mother become a lesbian after her husband passed away because she was lonely. If this is a preview of what her other books are like then it’s a pass for me.
