Onscreen, they’re in love. Offscreen, they can’t stand each other. From the author of How to Fake It in Hollywood comes “a sexy lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance that smolders then bursts into flames” (Abby Jimenez, New York Times bestselling author of Part of Your World).
“Wilder takes readers behind the scenes of a television shoot in this fun contemporary romance. . . . Fans of Emily Henry and Christina Lauren should check this out.”—Publishers Weekly
A POPSUGAR BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR
Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy are madly in love—at least, their characters are. As the stars of the hit paranormal TV show Intangible, Lilah and Shane spent years pining for each other onscreen . . . until Lilah ditched the show at the end of season five in hopes of becoming a movie star. With no such luck, she’s back to film the much-hyped ninth and final season, in which Lilah and Shane’s characters will get together at last.
But coming back means facing one of the biggest reasons she left: Shane. Ever since their secret behind-the-scenes fling imploded at the end of season one, the two of them have despised each other.
Now reunited on set for the first time in years—with the world’s eyes on them and their post-show careers on the line—they’ll have to grit their teeth and play nice. But under pressure to give Intangible’s fans the happy ending they’ve been waiting for, Lilah and Shane are forced to get closer than ever. And if they’re not careful, they might just get blindsided by one final twist: a real-life happy ending of their own.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Wilder (How to Fake It in Hollywood) takes readers behind the scenes of a television shoot in this fun contemporary romance. Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy were both unknowns when cast in the paranormal soap Intangible, but their powerful on-screen chemistry made them overnight sensations—and led to a secret fling that ended in disaster. After their breakup, working together was a nightmare, and their constant sniping pushed Lilah to quit the show after season five. Unfortunately, Lilah's career hasn't taken off the way she hoped since leaving Intangible, which also suffered without her, so she allows herself to be lured back to boost ratings for the ninth and final season, even if it does mean reuniting with Shane. On set, it's immediately clear that these sparring hearts are still wildly attracted to each other—but with insecurities and bitterness on both sides, is their relationship doomed to fail yet again? Though Lilah comes across as a bit of a diva at first, readers will warm up to her, and Shane is extremely easy to root for. Fans of Emily Henry and Christina Lauren should check this out.

Hollywood love
After reading How to Fake it in Hollywood, I had to give this book a chance and so glad I did! I loved this! I felt like a teenager shipping my fav characters from my shows but loved how they were real people with flaws and goals and difficult emotions. Fun and perfect rom com energy but with a bite!
A Shippers Dream
I loved this book! 15 year-old me is absolutely screaming inside. Lilah and Shane’s story is everything a fangirl wished could be true!
Loved it!
Ava Wilder, you fantastic woman! This book was much better than I thought it would be. I don't know what I was expecting from my first Ava Wilder book but I fell in love.
The chemistry and sexual tension between Lilah and Shane was so intense I had a fan on me when reading. I only wish there was an epilogue to tie it all together, but that's just me wanting more of Lilah and Shane.
