Very Disappointed
I was hoping that this series would be a good read, as it is a long series of books. I like following central figures through a series. I was saddened and disappointed to find that the author chose to use a HyperMasculine/insecure male stereotype for his pilots; extensive alcohol use, sex, and sexualization. In addition, the “bad characters” were described in overly stereotypic style, and as “F++++ts”. There is no reason to use this type of hateful language. It sets a bad example for young readers. I do not recommend this book, and I will delete it from my library.
Beware!
This series has some very intense and explicit rape and slavery themes and scenes. Beware.
