From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author, Marquita Valentine, comes the 4th book in her new adult series, BOYS OF THE SOUTH.
There’s only one place I feel at home- on the derby track.
When you’re a girl in a small Southern town, you know your place. You aren’t in charge. You have no real power. But when I lace up my skates and strap on my helmet? That makes me someone to reckon with.
Derby rules keep me grounded. So has my best friend Wyatt-- until now. I’m sick of other people’s rules, but making my own might just be my biggest mistake.
She was my home- until the war ended.
Marines are no strangers to rules, but when Lacey gave me her own set? I’m lost. I didn’t come home the same man I left. The guilt, the pain, and the fear send me into a downward spiral.
My best friend has pushed me away, but when my secret comes out, and I’m forced to reckon with my own past, she might just be the one to save me.

Loved Lacey and Wyatt!!!
Review: Boys of the South #4: Wish For You
Wish for You by Marquita Valentine is book four in her Boys of the South series. This was a emotionally difficult book to read, filled with angst and unrequited love.
Wyatt Tanaka is a Marine Veteran with a secret. He lost his best friend in the war and is dealing with his loss and sorrow my nailing women, boozing it up and living hard...in secret.
Lacey Evans has a set routine to keep her from having anxiety attacks. If she sticks to the known then there's nothing to get anxious about until her parents go out of town and she ends up staying with her friend Wyatt. Wyatt's in love with Lacey but she wants to stay only friends. Already she's off the routine.
When their secrets come to light as secrets tend to do, will they stay together for each other and help or cut their losses and haul butt in the other direction.
This Fan is Satisfied!
Once again, Marquita Valentine writes an amazing heartwarming story about real life and love! The characters are very realistic, flawed, and oh so human. I love stories where love helps people get through tough times and the characters are so much more real and true because of the obstacles that they face.
I have loved every MV book that I have ever read, but this has to be one of my favorites!
