Publisher Description
James McConnell’s one wish is that his nine-year-old son will finally be healthy enough to play a game of catch. Then he and his wife, Emily, receive news they’ve dreaded: Aaron’s cancer has relapsed.
As the family steels themselves for a draining treatment regimen in yet another hospital, Aaron receives the gift of a lifetime—a personal visit from one of his favorite professional baseball players—and the chance to make a bold request, his wish: to see his dad play in one major league game.
A former college standout, James fears he doesn’t have the talent it takes, even for one game, and that he’ll miss what could be Aaron’s precious last weeks. Yet how can he refuse his dying son’s wish?
Poignant and triumphant, Wish is the story of a father’s love, a family’s perseverance, and the miracles that can happen when you believe in the impossible.

Hard to Put Down!
When the book first got 'in' to the baseball part of it, I thought at first I would lose interest, since I'm not a guy, nor in to baseball. However, I am an avid reader and yet this is only the fourth Review I've written in 2.5 years of reading digital books. It was hard to put down, and throughout it, I couldn't help but wonder if it was based on a true story. SO much description and so MANY acts of kindness that the author brought out. If everyone read this and tried looking within their own world on how they could make such an impact on another's life (even for a stranger), what a better place our world would be to live in....
So Inspiring
What a great story. So hard to put it down, just wanted to keep reading. A tearjerker at times. Really loved it.

This book draws you in and wraps around you until the book ceases to exist and only the story remains. It plays like a movie in your head, it becomes a part of you. I highly reccomend this read, but do not plan on putting it down and have plenty of tissue on hand.
