Most witches don't work for police departments, but Michelle isn't your average witch. She's clanless, looking for a warlock who isn't offended by her lack of family connections, and in danger of losing her job if she can't find the eight escaped trolls before they start eating the local residents.

Great story. Inventive, clever, with no swearing or involved romance. Suitable for any age
Entertaining and Compelling Series Starter
A highly entertaining mix of police work and magic intertwined with the personal evolution of the witch protagonist. I particularly enjoyed the interesting details regarding the magic races and the application of magic that help to bind this tale together. I am a voracious and critical reader and this book possesses the extra level of storytelling realism that draws me into the story rather than just reading it. I am definitely continuing to the next book in the series.

This book is a good starter storyline to bring you along with other books.
