Witcha Gonna Do?
One of Amazon's Best Romances of December · A December LibraryReads Pick · One of Buzzfeed's Romance Novels to Knock Your Socks Off
An unlucky witch and her know-it-all nemesis must team up in the first of a new, spicy romantic comedy series from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn.
Could it possibly get any worse than having absolutely no magical abilities when you’re a member of the most powerful family of witches ever? It used to be that I’d say no, but then I keep getting set up on dates with Gil Connolly whose hotness is only matched by his ego. Seriously. I can’t stand him. Even if I also can’t stop thinking about him (specifically kissing him) but we’re going to pretend I never told you that part.
So yeah, my life isn’t the greatest right now, but then it goes straight to the absolute worst hell when I accidentally make my sister’s spell glitch and curse my whole family. And the only person who can help non-magical me break the spell? You guessed it. Gil the super hot jerk.
Now we have to work together to save my family and outmaneuver some evil-minded nefarious forces bent on world domination. Oh yeah, and we have to do all that while fighting against the attraction building between us because I may not be magical, but what’s happening between Gil and I sure feels like it.
Flynn (Anger Bang) gets her Witchton series off to a spicy start with this jam-packed paranormal rom-com. In a world where witches are so accepted that eye-of-newt muffins are perfectly normal bakery fare, Tilda Sherwood is "an outré," the rare witch born with no magical powers whatsoever. She's the black sheep of her family and constantly worries about failing and embarrassing them. Her nemesis in small-town Wrightsville, Va., is Gil Connolly, a handsome and powerful witch who can't seem to keep away from Tilda. Much to Tilda's distress, these two keep getting set up on blind dates by well-meaning friends. Gil has a secret, though: he's working to get his powerful family out of exile, a mission which entails spying on Tilda to discover if she is something more than just an outré. Meanwhile, when Tilda accidentally sets a curse on her family, she turns to Gil for help. While the plot is at times a bit rushed and the solutions convenient, there's plenty of charm in the wise-cracking characters, hot-as-hell chemistry, and pun-filled worldbuilding (their social media is WitchyGram). This sexy romp of a romance is sure to win fans. Agent: Elaine Spencer, Knight Agency.
Love & fun!
This was a fun, different kind of book from Avery Flynn. And the right kind of escape from reality that you need in these days. The first book in the Witchington series, it’s a frenemy to lover vibe, with lots of shenanigans going on. It’s fun, it’s sexy, and magical, which to me is so much fun! Loved it and hope for more!!
