After a dominance challenge ended with his parents deaths, Mason left Willow Bend and his pack behind, choosing instead to live life on his own terms…as a Lone Wolf. A wanderer, he keeps his life simple and carefree until an unexpected encounter brings him face to face with his tragic past and the woman he always adored. Determined to get her out of his blood, he teases her into an easy one-night stand…but one taste will never be enough.
Adopted as a young girl, Alexis Huston lived on the fringe of pack life. She’s never been strong enough, fast enough, or pretty enough—except to Mason, but then he left her. Allowed her freedom as an adult and sworn to keep the pack’s secrets, she’s struggled to fit into the ‘human’ world. A chance meeting turns her hard-won life upside down.
She is left with two options—she can tell the only wolf she’s ever loved that she’s carrying their child…or she can protect him, keep the baby a secret, and run.

A Great First Book in the Willow Bend Series!
Wolf Bite is Heather Long‘s first installment in her Wolves of Willow Bend series. Wolf Bite started out and ended with greatness.
Long did a fantastic job starting and ending this first book. Series starters are always so difficult for this reviewer. Mostly because I am trying to learn a new world while completing a complete story. I think she did a great job at both. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mason and Alexis. Especially trying to figure out, not only the complexity of their history, but the pack dynamic as well.
Wolf Bite certainly focused on Mason and Alexis, but I felt most of their story really paved the way to a much bigger story.
The only thing that didn’t work for me was a felt the middle was a little slow. But, since I obsessively was absorbed into the story and didn’t put it down until the end I feel that was really a very minor problem.
This is a series that pulled me in and left me pre-ordering book #2 of the Wolves of Willow Bend series.
I rate Wolf Bite 4 out of 5 Bullets!
