Publisher Description
A one-click, damn I read it one night, sexy football romance and fated love story with the perfect alpha as*hole.
From bestselling author Lisa Lang Blakeney, comes a new standalone, billionaire, boss romance.
URSULA
How many ways do I need to say–I quit? My family thinks I’m crazy, my astrology chart says it’s a mistake, but after three years of carefully molding the highly narcissistic Cooper Barnes into the “athlete influencer” of the year– I quit.
He won’t care anyway. Whether they work for him or sleep with him, women have always been expendable to the billionaire baller. Even me.
COOPER
What is wrong with Ursula Owens? It’s like she woke up one day this whole new person. A woman I don’t recognize.
One day she was my quirky, highly organized assistant, happily managing my entire life for me.The next she is handing in her resignation with no warning and no good reason.
Good thing I know what I want. I may have met her by chance, but I’m keeping her by choice. So maybe our love story is fated after all.

Fantastic story!
I liked Saint and Sabrina, but Coop and Owens pretty much stole my heart! The interactions between the two could sometimes be contentious, but that’s because Owens didn’t take any of the crap Coop would throw around. There’s a good reason why she’s not taking his crap, and once she drops that particular bombshell, the gloves come off.
He didn’t really meet the real Owens until she quit
Coop never knew the real Owens until after three years of being his assistant, she quits to pursue acting. Coop is the starting QB, successful and just won the athlete influencer award thanks to Ursula Owens' hard work. He’s got a nasty ex and was clueless to Owens charm and quirkiness until its almost too late.
Recommend.
Great Connection
I love how almost all Lisa’s characters seem so real like I’ve met them or should’ve at some point before. Loved how Cooper and Ursula communicated, it felt so natural and kept a smile on my face. Ursula reminded me of my self; maybe because she’s a fellow Gemini who loves to collect, want to travel, eclectic taste of music, etc., etc. Coop was funny as well compassionate to those who matter. I really liked how their past was intertwined, and even through sad events, positive outcomes are still possible. My only reasoning for giving 4 out of 5 stars is because there were a couple of sections that jumped ahead that didn’t feel like it flowed with the previous chapter that had me guessing about the timeline or what might have been said or token place. And, lastly like in book 1, I felt their romantic interactions came too late. Right, when they were honest about their mutual feelings, we were toward the end of the book. However, I enjoyed the ending and liked Saint & Sabrina’s cameos.
