Interestingly preachy book on wood carving, great pictures on carved panels etc.
Surprisingly well illustrated with drawings of wood carvings from various sources. First few chapters are more hands on instructions, the rest are more about the philosophy of carving with an extremely patronizing tones (the book is written for 'boys').
Definitely worth a browse to look at the illustrations.
