Publisher Description

Any reader can use this workbook for Peril by Bob Woodward and find immediate help in applying its major lessons.

An author and co-author of 21 nonfiction bestsellers, Bob Woodward, is an associate editor at The Washington Post and holds two shared Pulitzer prizes. The first was for coverage of the Watergate scandal in 1973, and the second came in 2003 for his reporting of the 9/11 attacks. Robert Costa, who helped him write Peril, is a political reporter and the chief election campaign correspondent for CBS News. Costa has worn many hats, including the Washington editor for the National Review, a political analyst for MSNBC, and the host of the Washington Week news program on CBS, which was honored with a Peabody award.

Woodward was born in Geneva, Illinois, in 1943 and spent his childhood in Chicago. He had legal aspirations in his youth, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his jurist father. Still, he went on to study history and literature and served as a communications officer in the navy. His journalism work began with a two–week unpaid internship at The Washington Post and blossomed into an illustrious career. Aside from his Pulitzers, Woodward has received about every major American journalism award possible, including the Haywood Broun award in 1972, the William Allen Medal in 2000, and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2001.

Costa hails from Richmond, Virginia, where he was born in 1985. His enterprising nature became evident when he brought big-name bands like Maroon 5 to perform at his high school, and he was even profiled by Sports Illustrated magazine. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in American studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2009 and entered the news world with internships at PBS and ABC.
