World of Cars

My kids love this book. However, words are often left out at the beginning of sentences in the audio recording. If that were fixed I’d give this 5 stars.

I wish I had seen this label before spending $10 on this book. Now this book does not promise to help kids learn to read and therefore it is certainly my fault for assuming that it would, however, I would just like to help out other parents who are looking for "read aloud" books for their own aspiring readers. The words in this book are entirely too small for children to follow along with the narrator, regardless of what color they change. Besides this most obvious problem, is one that I probably should have expected; though Mator is a lovable tow truck, his entire dialog is made up of improper words that are counter-productive to the soon-to-be-reader. There are also too many words per page, in fact, there are entirely too many pages! This book would at least be enjoyable for my daughter to listen to if it went so long that she gets bored and frustrated with the whole thing before it's even half way through the story.

While the book is simplistic, it does a great job of showing the lives of the characters before the first Cars movie. Would recommend to any fan.
