World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 is a journey through an age of myth and legend, a time long before the Horde and the Alliance came to be. This definitive tome of Warcraft history reveals untold stories about the birth of the cosmos, the rise of ancient empires, and the forces that shaped the world of Azeroth and its people.
This beautiful hardcover features twenty-five full-page paintings by World of Warcraft artist Peter Lee, as well as a cosmology chart, half a dozen maps charting changes through time, and other line art illustrations by Joseph Lacroix, and marks the first in a multipart series exploring the Warcraft universe; from the distant past to the modern era.

If you’ve played WoW, READ THIS!
Eye opening and informative!
I began playing World of Warcraft after the release of Mist of Pandaria. I had so many unanswered questions and since I failed to pay attention to the whole storyline in game, there was much that I needed to know.
I quit playing the beginning of 2018 and purchased BfA in hopes to reignite that passions, but once again returned to nothing but questions and no understanding to the game so I quit again. After 1 week of reading this entire book and craving to read volume 2 and 3, it’s given me that passion once again, the urge to revisit each and every location with wondrous eyes and finally knowing the origins and beginnings.
It’s also made me want to level up a mage from 1-max because of how amazing their beginnings were. I always played Druid and Priest, but this has certainly made me want to play something different for a change.
Highly recommend read!
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. So before I got the real book, I read the sample, and boy, was I interested. If you liked the sample, and the lore of world of Warcraft, this book is your best bet. I can't stress enough how mind blowing this was, it really puts into perspective how big the world of Warcraft really is, and everything behind it. It will teach you mostly everything up to the dark portal - from the great sundering to The Void Lords and The Light, all the way to how Sargeras became The Fallen Titan, and why he went on his Burning Crusade. It even explains how the worgen became worgen and the Curse of Flesh, as well as it covering the pantheon, how the cosmos game to be and more! This book was great, astonishing actually. You will love this if you like wow lore.
Everything You Want to Know About Warcraft Lore
This book answers all the questions you might have about Warcraft Lore before the opening of the dark portal. If you’re curious about things like how the Warcraft universe was created, the origins of the titans, trolls, elves, and other species this is the book for you. It also explains the nature of how the light and other forms of magic work. It’s really cool to see it all finally tie together in a cohesive story!
