World War 2: The Battle of Midway

MIDWAY: The Battle of Midway is generally considered to be the crucial turning point in the Pacific theater of the Second World War. In a matter of minutes, an apparent Japanese victory turned into a stunning defeat for the forces of Japan, as four of the Emperor’s mightiest aircraft carriers were sunk by a handful of brave U.S. Pilots. Not only did the Japanese lose their best carriers, but they also lost the cream of their pilots and air crews which crippled their naval air power from which they never recovered.
