Worth the Risk

Back in my favorite small town

I’m always thrilled to visit Butterfly Harbor, because every story is so wonderfully written. Pairing the very safety conscious Alethea with injured race car driver Declan was inspired. It’s not that they are opposites in personality, but opposite in the way they approach life. Slow and steady is Alethea’s pace but her heart Isn’t sure if she will survive the fast paced lifestyle that Declan is anxious to get back to. Declan himself doesn’t know how to slow down so watching them move through a relationship together is a times both funny and poignant.
As with all Butterfly Harbor books, i’m always happy to see how the citizens who have already found their happily ever after are continuing to grow and change and add to their families long after their stories have been written. It’s fun to watch Simon grow up and to see who Charlie is becoming. I and there’s usually at least one or two babies added into the mix. That’s one of the best things about the Butterfly Harbor series…the sense of family that is introduced throughout every book…and continues as the series grows.
I’m not sure what will happen when the last of the stories have been written, but I’m hoping it’s not anytime soon.
