Jada Pinkett Smith sets the record straight with her candid memoir, covering everything from growing up in Baltimore (where both she and her mother sold drugs to get by) to her pre-fame friendship with Tupac Shakur, as well her early days in Hollywood. Pinkett Smith adds some much-needed context to the tabloid stories that have frequently dominated her life, especially her unconventional marriage to Will Smith, and she openly addresses her struggles with alopecia as well as Smith’s infamous awards-show slap of comedian Chris Rock. But these salacious nuggets are window dressing. The actress’ primary concern is sharing the spiritual quest she’s been on since hitting a low point that once had her on the brink of suicide. Worthy is a powerful testimony from a woman determined to live her best life.

It was really good in the beginning but after she started talking about Tupac, she didn’t stop. The book was more about him so I never finished it , it lost my interest.

Super narcissistic and telling. A lot of contradictions and nonsense. All around just horrible book.
